FIELD: shipbuilding; designing hovercraft. SUBSTANCE: hovercraft has hull, supercharging plant with steering gear, guard for air cushion area with fore and aft members and side skegs provided with flexible guards secured to their lower portion. Wedge- shaped strips made from elastic material are located on external surfaces of flexible guards at angle of 30 to 60 deg to vertical plane. Pointed portion of strips is directed in way of ship's motion. EFFECT: reduced resistance to motion; enhanced stability in course. 3 dwg
