FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion piston engines of widely known numerous class of heat engines n which thermal energy liberated at combustion of fuel is converted into mechanical work. In these engines processes of fuel combustion. Heat liberation and conversion of heat into mechanical work take place directly inside engine. This engine has no connecting rod-and-crank mechanism, and conversion of reciprocating motion of pistons into rotation of engine shaft is provided by multiperiod spatial power mechanism. EFFECT: simplified design and improved reliability of engine, increased power output owing to reduction of mechanical losses and increased length of piston stroke in radial direction, reduced fuel consumption per power unit, increased service life of engine and its efficiency. 2 cl, 14 dwg, 2 tbl
