FIELD: grinding and separating equipment. SUBSTANCE: method of grinding dry cylindrical particles extruded from pasty material and separating product particles from sieved particles involves feeding dry cylindrical particles into apparatus; grinding cylindrical particles; removing ground particles, providing discharge of nonstandard particles through sieve meshes and extracting product particles. Dry cylindrical particles are fed into apparatus having extended hollow cylindrical sieve with plurality of radial meshes having diameters less than that of product particles, internal axial channel formed in cylindrical sieve, wherein radial meshes are extending from internal channel through sieve. Internal channel has inlet at one axial end for receiving product particles together with nonstandard particles and outlet at opposite axial end for removal of product particles. Apparatus is further provided with shaft equipped with blades and located in internal channel. During rotation of shaft or sieve relative to fixed shaft or sieve, particles are ground and nonstandard particles are thrown onto sieve. Product particles are urged to respective outlet. Product particles having mathematically averaged length and diameter ratio of from 1.0 to 4.0 are extracted. Apparatus has device for varying shaft and sieve rotational speed. Cylindrical particle composition contains particles extruded from pasty material and having mathematically averaged length and diameter ratio of from 1.0 to 4.0 at root-mean-square deviation less than 1.0. Composition has particles with length to diameter ratio of 1.9- 2.7 at root-mean-square deviation less than 0.9. Composition has particles forming stable mixture widely used in agriculture, for example, as pesticide. EFFECT: increased efficiency and wider range of use. 7 cl, 2 dwg, 10 ex
