FIELD: textile industry, in particular, manufacture of felt. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming homogeneous mixture comprising double glass fiber and straight fiber; processing said mixed fiber in carding machine for obtaining of bound fabric; providing cross overlapping of bound fabric for obtaining cross overlapped fulled fabric of fibers; performing sewing stamping (stitching) of said cross overlapped fulled fabric for manufacture of felt. Filtering felt comprises layered fulled fiber fabric and cloth. Layered fulled fabric is composed of homogeneous mixture comprising 1-30 wt% of double glass fiber, 1-60 wt% of straight fiber and 10-98 wt% of twisted fiber, with double fiber being used in an amount equal to or exceeding that of double glass fiber. Twisted fibers of different types added into mixture do not substantially deteriorate processibility of fabrics.
