FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: ironing press has detachable housing incorporating substantially rectangular pressing ironing plates positioned for rotation between opened position and pressed position, separating plate equipped with slot in its upper part and disposed between pressing ironing plates, base with lower part and at least one vertical side part, which are rigidly connected one with another, trousers fastening device formed as retractable bar arranged in vertical side part and adapted for sliding in guide, and device rigidly connected to bar and equipped with member for retaining trousers belt portion. Electronic control unit, control panel and at least one drive mechanism for actuating ironing plates opening and pressing unit and for controlling retractable bar motion are incorporated in base. Pressing ironing plates are pivotally attached inside base. At least one of plates is equipped with heating member. Ironing press of such construction provides for high-quality ironing of trousers, including upper part thereof, in automatic operating mode without deforming and damaging trousers fabric.
