FIELD: printing. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed cross folding method, printed matter is first provided with preliminary fold by preliminary folding clamping members and then preliminarily folded matter is fed to pair of rotating folding rolls for final folding. This method is effected by means f device for cross folding of printed matter in which preliminary folding cylinder furnished with system of clamping members is connected to transportation cylinder with folding knives to get preliminarily folded product, and after preliminary folding cylinder a pair of folding rolls final folding of preliminary folded product is installed.
