DIE SET FOR DIE FORGING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely constructions of die sets for die forging of hollow shaped articles, mainly motor vehicle wheels. SUBSTANCE: die set includes on inner surface of yoke T-shaped guides and groove in each section of lower die for reciprocation motion of sections in guides of yoke. In addition die set is provided with vertical pressure tie rods for holding sections of lower die in closed position at deforming blank. Said sections are mounted in upper part of die set. Lower die has four sections. EFFECT: simplified design, increased useful life period of die set, enhanced efficiency of forging, possibility for providing stable geometry and size of blanks due to elimination of gaps between parting zones of parts of die set. 2 cl, 1 dwg
