FIELD: scaled sound coding/decoding facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed method for coding sound signal into data streams of several layers that have main layer and at least one layer for signal separation from noise includes stages of time/frequency display of input sound signals and quantizing of spectral data with same scale factor for each desired frequency band of scale factor; quantized data are packed into streams; bit stream formation stage includes steps of coding quantized data corresponding to main layer, coding of quantized data corresponding to next layer of signal separation from noise in main coded layer, and remaining quantized data not coded because of limited size of layer which are related to coded layer followed by step of layer coding for all layers of signal separation from noise to produce bit streams.
