FIELD: embalming. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carrying out measures directed to preservation of body dead, i. e. to prophylaxis of development of putrefactive changes in cadavers and their preservation being first of all the corpse appearance. Method of cadaver embalming involves sanitary treatment and administration of fixing solution in vessel stream and the following impregnation of cadaver with embalming solution comprising of glycerol, potassium acetate, sodium acetate, water and accessory substances. Impregnation of cadaver with embalming solution is performed for three stages. On the first stage a solution is used in the following ratio of components, wt. %: glycerol, 3.0-12.0; potassium acetate, 3.0-15.0; sodium acetate, 5.0; water, the balance to 100% and impregnation is carried out for 45 days. On the second stage of embalming a solution is used in the following ratio of components, wt.%: glycerol, 12.0-20.0; potassium acetate, 15.0-25.0; sodium acetate, 5.0; water, the balance up to 100% and impregnation is carried out for 45 days. Then impregnation with an embalming solution is carried out for 60-75 days in the following ratio of components, wt.%: glycerol, 20.0-50.0; potassium acetate, 25.0-40.0; sodium acetate, 5.0; accessory substance, 0.02; water, the balance up to 100% where thymol is used as an accessory substance.
