COASTAL SEA BEACON Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: illumination of beacons in coastal sea water areas. SUBSTANCE: beacon has mechanical and electrical compartments. Mechanical compartment is used for rope drum and return rotation spring; rope is connected with bottom weight. Arranged inside electrical compartment are reversible electric generator, trigger unit for maintenance of preset direction of charging current, storage battery, lantern and photocell mounted on the outside of electrical compartment for switching-off lantern at day time. Spring is located inside drum; permanent sectorial magnets are mounted on its lateral side; they are separated from drive disk of electric generator by diamagnetic membrane. EFFECT: enhanced tightness of electrical compartment excluding any penetration of sea water; enhanced operational reliability. 2 dwg
