FIELD: shipbuilding; propellers of high-speed ships. SUBSTANCE: water scoop has water intake branch pipe and flow-through pipe line with swivel elbows and guide blades. Each upper guide blade is made in form wing and bent plate following it in way of flow; upper guide blade is made from bent plate and wing following it; wings are located at an angle relative to incoming flow; suction surfaces of wings are directed towards motion of ship and driving surfaces are provided with artificial roughness.
