FIELD: bridge construction, applicable in reconstruction of bridgeworks. SUBSTANCE: method of strengthening uses the method for joint of semi stiffening plates provided with insertion pieces and butt plates covering the joint. The novelty is in the fact that a saw cut is made in the plane of the orthogonal joint on the lower side, a flanged packing is inserted in it and the butt plates and insertion pieces are welded to it on the two sides. EFFECT: enhanced bridge load capacity due to enhanced transversal stiffening of the bridge framework. 2 dwg
