FIELD: mechanical engineering; thermal protection of objects; manufacture of flow sections of exhaust passage of gas-transfer units. SUBSTANCE: exhaust passage of gas-transfer unit has outer metal housing which consists of gas duct sections, thermal protective coat closed by protective metal sheets secured on needles attached to housing; protective sheets are laid at overlap and are not interconnected over transversal joints; they have longitudinal corrugations which are closed by trough-shaped cover plates. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of exhaust passage; reduced usage of metal; reduced expenses for manufacture of load-bearing housing. 3 dwg
