WING-IN-GROUND EFFECT CRAFT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: hovering craft. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dynamic air cushion vehicles. It has fuselage with tail unit and stub wing. One or several engines with propeller are installed under stub wing. Side and tail edges of wing are arranged in one plane. Wing ribs are mated with craft fuselage boards and are installed at angle of 5-16 degrees relative to above-indicated plane. Lower surface of wing is dome-like. Tail and side edges of wing are made of armored material and form flexible guard of air cushion. Propellers are arranged under wing. Surface of wing before plane of propeller rotation is lowered below end of propeller blade and it extends behind plane of propeller rotation forming ring channel before propeller. EFFECT: improved aerodynamic characteristics, simplified design of wing-in-ground effect craft. 6 dwg
