FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of synthesis of chromium acetate. Chromium acetate is synthesized from chromium anhydride, acetic acid or it an aqueous solution and reducing agent solution. Formaldehyde or sucrose an aqueous solution is used as a reducing agent solution. Process is carried out in three-section reactor of flow type consisting of three successively joined heat-exchangers. Reaction mass is fed into internal tubes of heat-exchangers and a heat- carrier is fed into intertubular space. Intersection spaces exist in inlet and outlet of reactor and heat-exchangers. Reaction mixture is fed into intersection spaces. Blade mixer fitted on total axis is disposed in each space. Continuous technological scheme involves feeding acetic acid or its aqueous solution and chromium anhydride into two capacities by turns and continuous feeding obtained solution into the first section of reactor. Reducing agent an aqueous solution is loaded into the second section of reactor. Method provides effective regulation of temperature regime of three-section reactor.
