SUBSTANCE: invention preferably relates to copper, nickel, and cobalt metallurgy and includes drying, briquetting, and reduction-sulfidizing melting, said briquetting, according to invention, involves addition of (i) binding agent and sulfidizing reagent, in particular elementary sulfur, in amounts between 35 and 63% of the total content of heavy nonferrous metals; (ii) quartz sand at ratio 1.25:1 to 1.90:1 to the summary weight of calcium, magnesium, and iron; and (iii) carbon-containing reducing agent in amounts 13.8 to 25.8% of the total content of heavy nonferrous metals.
