FIELD: metallurgy of copper, nickel and cobalt.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of reworking reprocessing materials and tecnogenious wastes includes drying, mixing them for obtaining charge containing heavy non-ferrous metals, calcium and magnesium with sulfidizing reagent, carbon-containing reductant and quartz sand followed by reducing-sulfidizing melting. To reduce expenses for reworking the raw material, use is made of sodium sulfate as sulfidizing reagent; ratio of sodium sulfate to sum of mass of heavy non-ferrous metals contained in charge is equal to (1.3-1.7) : 1. Ratio of quartz sand to sum of masses of calcium and magnesium contained in charge is equal to (1.25-1.60) : 1 and amount of carbon-containing reductant ranges from 20.8 to 30.8% of sum of masses of heavy non-ferrous metals contained in charge.
EFFECT: increased extraction of metals due to reduced viscosity of slag.
