FIELD: mining, particularly, screw downhole motors applicable in drilling of inclined and horizontal sections of holes. SUBSTANCE: essence of the invention consists in that bodies of motor and bit shaft sections of screw downhole motor are connected by hinged joint. It is made in the form of three successively located tubular members. Extreme members are connected with motor and bit shaft sections, respectively. Middle member is connected with each extreme member by means of pair of axles and is installed with clearances ensuring misalignment of axles of each pair of adjacent members up to 2°30′. Rotor and shaft are interconnected by hinged joint. It is made in the form of two splined shafts and splined coupling. One splined shaft is connected by means of torsion bar with rotor, while the other, with shaft of bit shaft section. Splined coupling is installed with respect to splined shafts with clearance ensuring misalignment of axes of motor and bit shaft sections equaling up to 5 deg.
