FIELD: construction engineering; erection and repair of underwater pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: devices containing frames with pontoons are secured on pipe line by means of grips for control of total buoyancy of pipe line length transported under water. Device is provided with triangular wing creating additional lifting force. Tension of pipe line length is effected by means of tugs on command from computer. Computer also controls vibrations of pipe line length and placing it in required position. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in transportation and laying of pipe line length. 14 cl, 13 dwg
