FIELD: converter engineering; power systems, radio and automatic-control devices, computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter has output transformer 3 whose primary winding leads are connected through respective controlled switches 1, 2 to converter input leads and its secondary winding is connected through rectifier to converter output leads. Converter also has two recuperative diodes each being connected in parallel with circuit set up of primary winding of transformer 3 and controlled switches 1, 2 in direction of energy output to power supply and two circuits first one incorporating series- connected capacitor 6 and first diode 11 and connected in parallel with primary winding of transformer 3; cathode of first diode 11 is connected to starting lead of this winding; second circuit has series- connected second diode 10 and choke coil 8, its diode 10 being connected through its cathode to common point of connection of capacitor 6 and first diode 11 and through lead of choke coil 8, to input minus terminal of converter. Newly introduced in converter are two additional circuits of which one has series-connected switch 7 and third diode 13 and is connected in parallel with primary winding of transformer 3 so that anode 3 of third diode 13 is connected to finishing lead of this winding. Other additional circuit is set up of series-connected fourth diode 12 and choke coil 9; it is connected through anode of fourth diode 12 to common point of connection of switch 7 and diode 13 of first additional circuit and through lead of choke coil 9, to input plus terminal of converter.
