FIELD: reduction of level of noise penetrating into aircraft cabin from outside through ventilation system pipes. SUBSTANCE: silencer has housing made in form of elongated parallelepiped whose walls are made from glass plastic. Front wall is simultaneously used as lining of cabin; it is just honeycomb panel. Air ducts in form of wire grate are mounted in inclined position in housing; wire grate terminates in oval metal branch pipes projecting above upper and lower walls. Space between framework of air duct and walls of housing is filled with laminated mats wrapped in glass cloth. Owing to inclined position of air ducts relative to largest walls of housing, thickness of sound-absorbing material changes along air ducts due to uneven pressure. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of reducing wide-band noise. 5 dwg
