SUBSTANCE: hydrolysis of organohalosilanes of formula RaRbSiXc, wherein R and R1, identical or different, denote hydrogen, linear or branched C1-C6-alkyls, aryls, alkylaryls, or arylalkyls; X denotes halogen; a+b+c=4 and 0 <c <4, is distinguished by that hydrolysis is conducted in three consecutive steps with ascending organohalosilane-hydrolyzing power and that, if necessary, at least one coalescence step is added, the first step being carried out at pressure in presence of saturated hydrogen halide aqueous solution.
