FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; methods of shutoff of water inflows in oil wells with use of water-soluble polymers of acryl series. SUBSTANCE: method includes injection of shutoff material in from of hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile and displacing in into water-bearing part of formation by mineralized formation water. Prior to injection of hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile, formation water-bearing part is treated with solution of hydrochloric acid diluted in ratio of 1:1 and diluted solution of hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile manifesting polyelectrolyte properties. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method due to reloading of surface and securing of a part of anionic groups of hydrolyze polyacrylonitrile macromolecules to surface of clogged-up rocks.
