FIELD: equipment of manifolds of oil and gas wells; applicable in drilling and operation of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: gate cock has hollow body with circular chamber having sealed edges, and immovable plunger with recesses, blind axial inlet and outlet channels and transverse holes in recesses at bottom of blind channels. In open position, inlet and outlet channels are communicated through circular chamber in hollow body. Body is connected by means of lock to nut for its rotation and their combined motion along immovable plunger for closing holes in recesses of immovable plunger. Total area of flow sections of each row of transverse holes is equal to area of flow section of its blind channel. Recesses on immovable plunger are made with inlet chambers and their depth amounting to 0.7-0.85 mm. Packing rings in seals are made so that their interference by immovable plunger fitting diameter equals 0.8-0.9 of recess depth in it. EFFECT: higher operate reliability of gate cock with reduced complexity of machining of contact surface in places of seals location which undergo effect of abrasive fluids under high pressure. 2 cl, 3 dwg
