FIELD: range measurement. SUBSTANCE: optical system has a receiving channel of four components and a transmitting channel of five components. The first components of the channels are made in the form of plane-parallel plates (safety glass plates), the second and fourth components of the transmitting channel-reflecting elements (mirror-like or prismoid); the fifth component, collecting lens. The second component of the receiving channel is made in the form of a splicing of two collecting lenses of different diameter, and the third and fourth components - light filters in the form of plane-parallel plates. The third component of the transmitting channel is made in the form of a reflecting element (mirror-like or prismoid) located before the first lens of the second component of the receiving channel at calibration and taken out of the ray path at a direct range measurement. The diameters of the first and second lenses in the second component of the receiving channel and the focal distances of the first lens and the common second component are bound up by the relations given in the claim.
