FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: carding unit has movable heads with card clothing and drum with fittings, with space being provided between head carding clothing edges and drum fittings. Heads are sliding with their both ends over convex arced sliding guides, each made in the form of flexible member disposed with its respective flexible resilient arc portion on convex surface. To simplify changing of space between head card clothing edges and drum fittings, it is recommended that distance between convex outer surface of sliding guide and concave inner surface of sliding guide be circumferentially decreased or increased, with drive being in operating state, and distance between convex supporting surface of flexible resilient arced portion and drum axis be respectively increased or decreased, since total of both distances at all circumferential points is constant.
