FIELD: hardware. SUBSTANCE: plastic dowel has at least one pintle inserted into drilled hole; pintle mounts bracing segments disposed in pairs on opposite sides; each bracing segment is formed by means of wedge member secured on outer surface of pintle for axial displacement; wedge members are joined by means of molded strap to pintle so that when dowel is driven into drilled hole, wedge member moves towards entry part of drilled hole to acquire position in front of inclined surface of pintle rising towards dowel end being inserted; external size of both opposing wedge members reduces down to external size corresponding to diameter of drilled hole in brickwork, when traction thrust is applied to pintle, wedge member shifts over inclined surface towards dowel end being inserted to such extent that dowel is wedged in drilled hole. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of dowel fixation in drilled hole. 10 cl, 4 dwg
