SUBSTANCE: regulated-voltage supply characterized by improved input power factor and by provision of output voltage regulation has series-connected reactor and rectifier inserted between sine- wave voltage source and output loaded capacitive filter, switching circuit connected in parallel with rectifier input that provides for energy storage in inductance coil of reactor and isolation from capacitive filter during on-state of switching-circuit switch, switch control circuit connected to input and output of regulated-voltage supply that regulates turn-on moment of switch and its on-sate time during first half of each half-cycle of supply voltage; novelty is introduction of dc reference voltage source and current sensor both connected to switching-circuit switch control circuit; current sensor is inserted between rectifier output and load; one of power leads of switch is integrated with current sensor lead, the latter being connected to load.
