FIELD: irrigated agriculture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has feeding reservoir, siphon mounted inside feeding reservoir, vessel with drive for returning it to initial position, and evaporation chute. Vessel is attached by means of pivotal hinge and fixed in initial position by latch. Evaporation chute is mounted on pivotal joint and equipped with latch controlling lever and overflow branch pipe with adjustable overflow height. Magnetic latch is located at one end of evaporation chute and adjustable counterweight is positioned at other end of evaporation chute. Apparatus is further equipped with main supply pipeline having valves for supplying water into feeding reservoir and vessel, and with locking float-type valve. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing unrestricted automatic switching-on of irrigation equipment depending on weather conditions. 4 cl, 1 dwg
