FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: silicohydrofluoric acid is brought into interaction with calcium carbonate suspension to form calcium fluoride pulp, from which silicic acid is then separated. Calcium carbonate suspension utilized is nitrate-phosphate fertilizer production waste containing nitrogen admixture, and process is carried out until 2-3% silicic acid (calculated as SiO2) sol is formed in liquid phase of calcium fluoride pulp. Suspension can also be supplemented by polyacrylamide in quantities 0.01-0.02% based on the weight of solid phase contained in pulp. EFFECT: reduced expenses on starting materials. 2 cl, 3 ex
