FIELD: plastic metal working, particularly development of tools for extruding tubes and rods of refractory steels and alloys. SUBSTANCE: extrusion die includes two cone surfaces on its outer surface. Cone surfaces are turned by their large bases one towards another and they are inclined by angle of cone αc relative to axis of die. Inclination angle is set according to predetermined relation. Large bases of cone surfaces are equal one to another or they are different and mutually joined by means of additional cone surface inclined by angle αa.c. (selected according to predetermined relation) relative to die axis. Inclination angles of outer cone surfaces are equal one to another or they are different. Invention provides omnidirectional compression effort in material of die during all stages of extrusion process. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, increased useful time period of extrusion die. 6 cl, 3 dwg
