FIELD: faggotting and transporting metallic pigs. SUBSTANCE: faggoted metallic pig with trapezoidal cross section has shoulders and engagement members on lateral lengthwise surfaces. Engagement members are restricted in lengthwise direction, they are in the form of protrusions forming teeth and reciprocal recesses. Along outer edge of shoulders there are recesses for binding tape. On surface of pig small base there are two cross recesses arranged at both sides of cross axis of pig. On edges of crossing of lateral surface and large base of pig there are two recesses for receiving binding tape. Said recesses provide fixation of tape in faggot without shifting and damaging it.
