FIELD: testing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for testing of strength of specimens made mainly of finely divided wood. Proposed tester has housing, loading mechanism in form of screw pair, active and passive supports and measuring indicator with prod. Device is provided also with set of attachments for different tests and insert mounted on housing and accommodating sleeve, cup, end piece and spring. Nut is mounted on free end of sleeve. Indicator prod contacting with end piece is arranged in nut coaxially with end piece. Part of members of attachment selected for testing is secured on output end of cup. Other members of attachment are secured on vertical wall horizontally movable relative to insert, and loading mechanism with active support secured on its screw is mounted horizontally. EFFECT: simplified design of strength tester, reduced metal usage, improved reliability and accuracy of measurements. 11 dwg
