FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method to test soils for compressibility with static loads consists in loading prepared surface of a compressed soil via a stamp with a stepwise increasing t time-stabilised static load via a spring dynamometre to the moment the soil bearing capacity is lost and the stamp is stable, monitoring parametres of pressure (p) and soil deformation (S) in time at each increasing stage of loading, building a curve of soil testing in stabilised condition p°tn=f(S°tn, t) and detection of mechanical parametres of strength and deformability of the tested soil using the data of the curve. At each subsequent stage of the test, the soil deformation S is set by the stamp as higher than the previous one, depending on the density of the soil structure, and as the deformation stage increases, by fixation of the stamp movement and compression of the dynamometre spring for a required value. Then the stamp is released from fixation, and using the force of the dynamometre spring stretching, the value of force it sends to the stamp is monitored, as well as the stamp movement to the moment the appropriate parametres of pressure p°tn at soil and its setting S°tn are stabilised.
EFFECT: getting valid results of tests, reduced material intensity and duration of tests.
