FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing patient on massage table to treat the back with massage members mounted on carriage before applying massage treatment to the body side opposite to one under massage. Rest surface is adjusted so that the carriage and the rest surface are set at an angle to horizontal surface. The carriage with the massage members are placed on the table or rest surface. The device has base on which the massage table is positioned as a frame for positioning patient body, horizontally movable carriage with massage members mounted thereon as bodies of revolution. The rest surface is directed in parallel to the carriage forming free space between the massage members of the carriage and the rest surface bearing the patient body. The carriage and rest surface have mechanism for lifting carriage and rest surface making an angle between the base and rest surface from 0 to 90 deg.
