FIELD: agricultural engineering, food-processing, chemical, pharmaceutical and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: coater has tore-shaped drum mounted for rotation around its axis, framework and drive. Auxiliary drum located inside tore-shaped drum is made from flexible material and has curved generatrix and axis extending in parallel with axis of rotation of tore-shaped drum. Auxiliary drum is arranged so as to change distance between axes of rotation of drums. Coater of such construction may be used for applying coating compositions on particles of bulk materials, for example on seeds of farm crops.
