FIELD: dust trapping by means of corona discharge in electrostatic field, possibly in chemical, oil-chemical, metallurgical, machine engineering, mining, building and other industry branches, in ecology for cleaning flue gases and ventilation exhausts. SUBSTANCE: electric filter includes vertical housing, settling and corona discharge electrodes forming several electric fields, inlet and outlet gas ducts, hoppers and high voltage sources. In lower section of housing corona discharge electrodes are arranged crosswise relative to gas flow; in upper section - corona discharge electrodes are arranged along gas flow and they are provided with tube having lid of dielectric material. Said electrodes are mounted with possibility of their free axial motion by action of gas flow providing self-controlled electric current of corona discharge. Diameter of lid exceeds that of tube by (30-60)%. Outlet gas duct is cone one; it is flared in direction of gas flow. EFFECT: lowered electric energy consumption due to self-controlled corona discharge at change of gas flowrate. 1 dwg
