METHOD FOR HACKLING OF FLAX FIBER YARN ON FLAX HACKLING MACHINE AND FLAX HACKLING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2190048 C1

FIELD: textile engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding flax fiber between hackles and processing it in working field along hackles over several hackle transition zones with needles set in spaced relation along transition zones between needle tips of opposite hackles; processing fibers at final transition zone by means of hackles having reduced needle setting density as compared to needle setting density of penultimate transition zone and providing overlapping of opposite hackle needles, whose tips go behind each other to depth of up to 95%. Flax hackling machine is composed of two parts, each having two hackles, which are adapted to define working field and are put onto upper and lower shafts. Several hackle transition zones with needles are arranged along hackles. Needles are set so that needle tips of one hackle go behind needle tips of other hackle. Flax hackling machine is further equipped with carriage and blocks fixed to carriage. Final hackle transition zone has needles set at reduced density as compared to needle setting density of penultimate hackle transition zone and having length greater that length of needles at penultimate hackle transition zone. Needle setting density ratio at final and penultimate hackle transition zones is 1: (2-10), respectively, and needle length ratio is selected to be within the range of (1.2-1.9):1. EFFECT: increased extent of flax fiber cleaning due to complete removal of scutch from fiber, improved quality of fibrous material and products manufactured from such material. 4 cl, 1 dwg
