FIELD: relativistic high-frequency electronics; generation of high-power microwave radiation. SUBSTANCE: relativistic magnetron has cylindrical drift tube and multiple-cavity anode unit with waveguide power leads. Cathode coaxially mounted relative to anode unit is coupled with aid of cathode holder to power supply. Magnetron magnetic system is built of two magnetic coils forming Helmholtz couple. Placed in gap between coils are waveguide power leads in the quantity of 2m, N, where m = 1, 2, ; N/2 is integer number. Waveguide power leads of opposing cavities are integrated by means of one or more antennafeeder lines whose length is a multiple of (2•q-1)λ/2 for relativistic magnetron whose number of cavities satisfies condition N/2-parity number or a multiple of λ•q for relativistic magnetron whose number of cavities satisfies condition N/2-odd number, where N is number of anode unit cavities; λ is operating wavelength; q is positive integer number. Energy output from system is effected through slit in antenna-feeder line. EFFECT: enhanced stability of amplitude, time, and frequency characteristics of generated microwave pulses. 1 dwg
