FIELD: high-frequency relativistic electronics; generation of high-voltage microwave radiation. SUBSTANCE: relativistic magnetron incorporating provision for stabilization of amplitude, time, and frequency characteristics of microwave pulses has multicavity anode unit with power leads of cavities disposed perpendicular to its axis and explosion-emission cathode as well as cylindrical drift tube, on its axis; it also has external magnetic system assembled of two coils forming Helmholtz couple. Power leads of two opposing magnetron cavities are interconnected by means of rectangular waveguide, whose narrow wall has k (k≥3) radiating slits, in such way that with number of magnetron cavities satisfying condition of N/2 being integer number waveguide length equals (2•m+1)λ/2, central slit is disposed on system electrical symmetry axis, and remaining slits are spaced (2•n+1)λ/2, apart from central one, where k is odd number; N is number of anode unit cavities; m, n is positive integer number; λ is operating wavelength; with number of magnetron cavities satisfying condition of N/2 being integer number waveguide length equals λ•m, central slit is offset relative to system electrical symmetry axis by λ/2, and remaining slits are spaced (2•n+1)λ/4 apart from central slit. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of microwave energy output. 1 cl, 3 dwg
