FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: unit has two independent rolling members, each consisting of wheel, axle-shaft, outer and inner bearings. Inner bearing is provided with latch with two vertical steams interconnected by bridge with special elements for easy disconnection and subsequent connection. Unit has also axle frame which carries rolling members and their locking systems, connecting device between rolling members, two ties for shifting brake shoes, conducting system between wheels and device for detecting hot inner bearings. EFFECT: provision of interchangeability of axle unit with constant width axle, reduced cost of servicing. 32 cl, 26 dwg
