FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: cord has polymeric tubular enclosure and core of reactive composition based on initiating explosive substance, with core directly contacting with polymeric layer of enclosure. Weighed portion of initiating explosive substance in it does not exceed 1 g per one meter of cord core length. Cord core may be provided with central channel, and layer of reinforcing members, such as fibers, may be laid between enclosure and core. Reactive composition for manufacture of cord has initiating explosive substance selected from the group comprising organic compound peroxides such as acetone peroxide, and, when required, combustible-binding substance. Resultant cord and composition for manufacture thereof are capable of transmitting initiating fire or detonation pulse to various actuating and safety mechanisms of special equipment, particularly, fire-fighting aerosol generators. EFFECT: high-speed response, improved safety and reliable employment. 15 cl
