IMPRESSION DETONATOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F42B3/10 F42C19/08

Abstract RU 2772413 C1

FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to initiation means designed to initiate detonation of explosive charges. An impression detonator includes a shell, into which a puncture composition, initiating and combat charges are pressed. A composition consisting of silicon 45±1.5% and lead minium 55±1.5%, granulated on water, is used as the puncture composition. As the initiating charge, the explosive NKT – perchlorate (5-nitrotetrazolato-N2) of pentamincobalt (III) – is used. The puncture composition is pressed into the shell at a pressure of more than 400 MPa, the initiating charge is at a pressure from 25 to 50 MPa, the height of the pressing of the puncture composition is at least 2 mm, the height of the initiating charge is at least 3 mm. In a warhead, the explosive NKT – perchlorate (5-nitrotetrazolato-N2) pentamincobalt (III) – or high explosives, such as octogen, hexogen, hexanitrostilbene, are used. In the manufacture of the puncture composition, ultrasonic treatment is carried out in a volatile solvent – acetone – in a cavitation mode at a temperature of no more than 70% of the boiling point of the volatile solvent. First, ultrasonic treatment of silicon powder is performed for a time of at least 10 minutes. Then, lead minium powder is added to the resulting suspension, and silicon and lead minium are dispersed and mixed by ultrasonic treatment for 10-15 minutes with a gradual decrease in ultrasound power.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at an increase in the safety of the detonator, frost and heat resistance, and reduction in sensitivity to puncture.
