CENTRIFUGAL MIXER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: continuous preparation of loose materials mixtures with additives of liquid; applicable in food, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal mixer has vertical cylindrical body consisting of two shells; cover with loading branch pipes and branch pipe supplying liquid phase; bottom with unloading branch pipe; guide funnel installed in body upper shell; receiving and distributing device located between body shell and shaft. Mounted on shaft is a disc for spraying of liquid phase, blades installed at a level of receiving and distributing device, rotor consisting of disc with two hollow truncated cones concentrically installed on it with small bases downward. Secured to shaft bottom are unloading blades. Mixing process in mixer is realized in two stages to increase intensity of process and to improve quality of produced mixture. At the first stage, initial components are subjected to preliminary mixing in receiving and distributing device under action of rotating blades on materials. At the second stage, final mixing in thin thinned layers is effect. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to increased process intensity and improved quality of produced mixtures. 2 dwg
