FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in oil recovery from wells with sand showings. SUBSTANCE: weld sand separator includes body consisting of sections located one above another, subs connecting sections, channel for fluid supply to separator, pipes for descending flow and trapping chamber. Sections are connected successively. Subs are made with longitudinal channels for ascending flow and transverse channels. Said channels in lower two-way sub are communicated with space between casing string and separator body; and in termediate subs, they are connected with longitudinal channels below locating sub. In trapping channels, annular space cross-section for ascending flow is larger than pipe cross-section for descending flow. EFFECT: increased operating reliability and service life. 1 dwg
