FIELD: power voltage conversion systems, may be applicable in power supply devices of AC electric drives and electric drives based on contactless motors, as well as in devices designed for voltage conversion or inversion, or voltage conditioning. SUBSTANCE: the method for voltage conversion consists in the fact that the primary voltage source is switched on directly for load, the direction of current flow through the load is determined by the sequence of opening of the keys, the output voltage level is adjusted by the time of key opening and closing, the voltages in the phases of the primary voltage source are compared with the required values of voltages in the load phases, and the load phases are switched with those phases of the primary voltage, in which the absolute current value of voltage exceeds the required output voltage as minimum as possible, and for prevention of a short-circuit fault the opening of the next keys is interlocked until the previous ones are closed. The voltage converter made on the basis of the described method has a primary voltage source, whose outputs are connected to the switch inputs, control and protection circuit, whose first group of inputs is connected to the switch outputs, and the outputs are coupled to its control inputs, as well as a comparison unit and a set-point device, the first group of outputs of the set-point device is connected to the first group of inputs of the comparison unit, the second group through the input of the comparison unit is connected to the outputs of the comparison unit are connected to the second group of inputs of the control and protection circuit. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions, mass and enhanced reliability due to the reduced number of keys, enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
