FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: electromechanical lock has external and internal handles with reference to locked object and mechanism blocking-releasing external handle and cross-bar that includes two bushings anchored in body and cover. Blocking bushing with grooves uniformly positioned over external surface is installed inside said bushings. Two discs made fast one to another by means of posts are mounted for movement on external surface of two bushings. Blocking lever is put on one post. One arm of lever carries protrusion that can engage one groove in blocking bushing and the other arm of lever interacts with spring-loaded wheel. Wheel has toothed sectors and protrusions for contact with blocking lever and fingers arranged on face surface of wheel for interaction with spring. Spring-loaded lever with locking finger anchored on it is mounted for movement on axle made fast to cross-bar. Lever is positioned between discs with holes which finger enters. One disc has stop protrusion that can contact limiter. Internal handle is put on strap mounted on door and is movably anchored on it with the aid of flange. Flange has pin placed eccentric relative to rotation axis of internal handle and entering groove in one disc. External handle is put on strap mounted on door and is anchored on it with the help of flange. Flange has square hole in which square rod is put with one end, its other end enters square hole in blocking bushing and is fixed with the use of stop washers. Design of lock ensures elimination of effort transmitted by external handle through blocking-releasing mechanism while lock is closed which is achieved thanks to fact that external handle is not blocked by cross-bar and internal handle and turns freely when lock is closed. With operation of lock blocking is carried out by way of connection of cross-bar to external handle through blocking-releasing mechanism. EFFECT: improved reliability of lock. 3 cl, 5 dwg
