SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of pH and amount of oxygen dissolved in specimen of liquid within definite periods of time. Then, rate of change of pH and rate of biological consumption of oxygen are determined. Significant transition points are then noted metabolically to determine state of microbe populations and content of organic and inorganic agents contained in specimen or nitrification time is determined.
