SUBSTANCE: deep fat fryer has detachable vessel adapted to be filled with frying agent and fried products, casing with section for receiving said vessel, heating members mounted on bottom of section, regulating unit thermally communicated with vessel and adapted for regulating temperature in vessel, overheating protection unit thermally communicated with vessel and allowing overheating temperature in vessel above predetermined safety threshold value to be avoided, and vessel detectors. Regulating unit may cause disconnection of supply circuit for heating members before starting of overheating protection unit, when vessel comprises frying agent in an amount smaller than predetermined minimal value.
