FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: absorbing core has primary absorbing member and secondary absorbing member. Primary absorbing member has liquid spreading rate expressed by ratio of spot area in primary absorbing member to spot area in secondary absorbing member in X-Y direction, which is 1.8 times higher than that of secondary absorbing member. Liquid spreading rate is expressed by ratio of spot area in primary absorbing member to spot area in secondary absorbing member five minutes after applying of predetermined volume of test liquid to absorbing core. Secondary absorbing member has part substantially composed of non-absorbing polymeric composition. Secondary absorbing member is applied to portion of primary absorbing member. In preferable version, secondary absorbing member is equipped with opening or passage having area exceeding by about 20% area of secondary absorbing member.
